The architect

Dr. Olutoyese (Toye) Oyelese, MD is the founder of Navigational Mind Inc. and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Westside Medical Associates Ltd. in Kelowna, British Columbia.

The architecture grew out of three decades of family medicine and a single observation that became impossible to ignore: the most dangerous moment in a clinical consultation is not when the clinician lacks information. It is when the clinician has enough information to construct a confident-sounding narrative — and does so before the evidence warrants it. That pattern, recognised in the consulting room, is now the central problem the architecture is built to address in artificial intelligence.

The company

Navigational Mind Inc. is a private Canadian company building AI governance architecture for high-stakes decision contexts: clinical decision support, legal navigation, end-of-life conversations, and any setting where the cost of a confident-sounding wrong answer is real harm. The architecture runs on dedicated hardware and is brought online for invited demonstrations.

The work is pre-patent. This site shows what the architecture does. It does not describe how it is built.
